Pair of Tassets
Pair of Tassets by unknown artist. Two silver-colored, metal tassets, side by side, against a gray gradient background that is darker at the top and lighter at the bottom. The tassets are shaped like elongated, upside-down teardrops with the pointed ends facing downwards. Each tasset consists of six horizontal, overlapping plates. There are metal loops and rivets along the edges and throughout. The top of each tasset is slightly curved and has two small metal handles or clasps. The bottom edge of each tasset features a decorative border of half-circles. The metal has a worn, scratched appearance. The tassets are symmetrical, with the one on the right being a mirror image of the one on the left.
