Pair of Gauntlets

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Pair of Gauntlets by Unknown Artist shows two bronze-colored metal arm guards. The arm guards are made of metal plates with rounded edges and pointed tips. Each has a chainmail section at the top. The metal plates are stacked horizontally and secured with small circular metal rivets. The edges of the arm guards appear to be trimmed with green material. The left arm guard is positioned upright, while the right arm guard is positioned on its side, with the top of the guard pointing to the right. The background is a plain light gray color.
