Metal breastplate, titled "Backplate", by artist not specified, is silver with a slightly curved and tapered shape. The breastplate has a central vertical seam and two leather straps on either side near the bottom. Two more leather straps are on top. The surface is scratched and marked with spots of wear. The edges have a rope-like metal trim. The background is gray and dark at the top and lighter at the bottom.
