Tetradrachm: Head of Antiochos V (obverse); Zeus (reverse)

Cleveland Museum of Art

The coin is dark grey and circular. The obverse features the right-facing profile of a man with curly hair. A diagonal band wraps around his head, crossing over the curls. The reverse shows a seated man with short hair holding a sceptre in his right hand and an eagle in his left hand. He sits on a throne with a backrest. There is Greek text on either side of the figure and beneath him. The coin's surface appears worn and weathered. The coin's coloration and texture suggest it is made of metal.
