Snuff Bottle stopper, artist not identified. The object is a stopper for a snuff bottle. It has a flat, circular base made of dark-colored material, possibly stone or metal, with a red band around the middle. The base is approximately one-third the length of the entire object. A short, cylindrical piece of light brown material, possibly wood or bone, extends from the base. The cylindrical piece is about one-third the length of the entire object. A long, thin, tapered piece of light-colored material, possibly ivory or bone, extends from the cylindrical piece. The tapered piece is approximately two-thirds the length of the entire object, and it comes to a sharp point at the end. The object is lying on a gray surface with a shadow underneath it, and the background is dark gray to black.
