Close Helmet

Cleveland Museum of Art

Close Helmet by Hans Stossel. The helmet is made of metal and has a silver color. The helmet is shaped like a human head, with a rounded top, a narrow opening for the face, and a pointed chin guard. The face opening has two horizontal slits for the eyes and a small horizontal slit for the mouth. There are several small holes on the lower part of the helmet. The helmet appears to be made of several pieces of metal riveted together. The background is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
