The Close Helmet for the Field, by an unknown artist, is a metallic object made of steel. The helmet is shaped like a human head with the top back portion curving upwards and a horizontal slit across the middle for the face. The top half of the helmet is a single curved piece of metal with a raised central ridge. There are small holes on the lower front portion of the helmet. The lower half has a protruding rim with brass rivets around the edge. The background of the image fades from dark gray to light gray.
