Design for Two Vases and an Ornament (recto); Sketches of Five Arms and a Head (verso)
Two sketches on aged beige paper. The left sketch shows three objects: - A small vase with a curved handle on the left side and a decorative top. - A curved, ornamental piece above the vases. - A larger vase with a lid and handles on either side in the center. The right sketch shows: - A muscular, nude male figure leaning on his left leg, arms outstretched to the right. - Two disembodied arms above the figure, one palm down and one palm up. The male figure and disembodied arms are drawn with minimal shading. The sketches appear to be done in brown or black ink. The left sketch is signed in the bottom-left corner. The right sketch has a circular stamp in the bottom-center and some numbers in the bottom-center.
