The bronze sculpture depicts a nude woman with short hair, poised in a dynamic stance on one leg. Her right leg is bent behind her at the knee. The woman holds a bow in her left hand and an arrow in her right. The bow is curved, with one end pointing down and away from her. The woman stands on a large sphere atop a square base with rounded edges. A pair of wings adorn the base on either side near the bottom. The background gradually darkens from light gray at the bottom to dark gray at the top. The sculpture, Diana, is the work of Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
