Chalice from the Beth Misona Treasure
The Chalice from the Beth Misona Treasure, made by an unknown artist, is a silver cup on a pedestal base. The cup has a wide bowl with a rounded body that curves inward to form the lip. A band of Greek text runs along the top. Below the text are two raised horizontal lines. A repoussé Christ head in a circle is depicted on the front. The stem features a decorative, knotted or rope-twisted design and flares out to a wide, flat base. The entire piece appears to have a weathered or tarnished appearance.
