View of a Castle (recto); Eight-Sided Cup (verso)

Wolfgang Huber

Cleveland Museum of Art

The image shows two sketches on aged paper. The left sketch depicts a landscape with a castle. The castle sits on a hill and is made up of various connected buildings. One tall tower with a pyramid-shaped roof is prominent. The right sketch is on the back of the same paper and features illegible cursive writing in black, with a red signature at the top. A faint gray sketch of an eight-sided cup is on the right side. The papers are rectangular with rough edges and a light-brown color.
