Medieval-style illuminated manuscript page with a historiated initial. The initial is "S" and contains a scene of a man in a red robe being stoned by three other men. The man in red is on his knees with his head tilted back and arms raised. The three men are dressed in medieval clothing and one man is wearing a white head covering. The background of the initial is gold with a blue circular design. The initial is surrounded by a decorative border with blue, red, and gold swirling patterns. To the right of the initial is medieval text written in brown and red ink. The text is accompanied by red musical staff lines. The page is yellowed and worn with visible signs of aging. The background of the page is off-white.
