The image shows a medieval illuminated manuscript page with a large historiated initial. The initial is an "H" with a scene of The Nativity inside it, depicting Mary reclining, holding baby Jesus, and Joseph sitting beside her. The initial and scene are surrounded by blue, orange, green, and gold borders with leaves and flowers. There are red and black musical staff lines above and below the initial with black text in Latin. In the top right corner, a small circular drawing shows a person in a green robe. At the bottom center, another circular drawing shows a scene, but it is too small to discern. The page has a white background with some darker areas around the edges.
