Candlestick Pair
Ivory pair of candlesticks, "Candlestick Pair". Two identical, intricately carved ivory candlesticks with square bases and four sides. The base features an etched design around the edges. A small lip projects from the top of the base supporting a short square block; below the block on three sides, a figure is carved in low relief. The block supports a longer, thinner, square pillar, carved on four sides with figures in low relief. The top of the pillar is decorated with a band and a short cylindrical section with two holes on one candlestick and one on the other; the tops are crenellated. Gray background.
