The Gotha Missal: Fol. 37v, Text

Master of the Boqueteaux

Cleveland Museum of Art

Open book with two facing pages. Pages are yellowed and have a worn, aged appearance. Text occupies most of the page and is written in black ink. The text is in a medieval script and appears to be in Latin. Decorative elements adorn the pages. On the left page, a blue and red vine design borders the left side. The vine design has small leaves and flowers and curls around the edges of the page. Large decorative letters are scattered throughout the text on both pages. These letters are painted in red, blue, and gold. The right page has similar designs with a smaller vine and blue floral-like stains. The book's cover is not visible, but the pages have a browned edge. The background behind the book is solid black.
