Altarpiece with Relics

Golden-colored altarpiece with relics. The altarpiece has a rectangular base with a flat bottom and four small feet. There are two large vertical sections on either side with intricate carvings of cherubs and other figures. In the center, there is a large archway with a scene depicting several figures, possibly a religious scene. Above the archway, there is a large sunburst design with rays extending outward. The entire piece is ornately decorated with gold-colored metalwork and features several small circular objects, possibly relics, set into the frame. The background of the image is a gradient gray. The altarpiece is by Joseph Matthias Götz.
