Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

The image shows an open book with yellowed pages. The left page is not visible. The right page has a border with a floral design in shades of red, blue, yellow, green and brown; the border includes a tree with leaves and small creatures such as birds, butterflies, and a dragonfly. The border also includes two grotesques; one is at the bottom center of the page wearing a pink and purple outfit and a red hat; the other is on the right side of the page wearing a green outfit and an orange hat. The right side of the page has a large block of text in brown ink; some of the text is in red ink. The text is written in a medieval style. On the top left of the page is an illustration of two men; one man is wearing a blue outfit and has his arm around the other man; the other man is wearing a purple outfit and has his hands together in prayer. The illustration is in a gold frame.
