Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

The text block is on the left side and features around one-third of a column of text. The text block is surrounded by a gold border with red corners. The border is adorned on the left by a gold frame with blue inner and outer borders on the top and bottom and a semicircular frame on the right. Within the semicircular frame are illustrations of two men, one dressed in white, and the other dressed in red over white. The right border contains a marginalia illustration of a man in green clothing and a red hat holding a blue sword in the right hand and a brown shield in the left. The bottom border contains a marginalia illustration of a green dragon-like creature wearing a blue tunic and a pink hat reading a red book. The top and bottom borders feature blue vines with flowers, leaves, and birds. The borders on all four sides are adorned with different multi-colored geometric patterns. The top border features a white and blue bird. The background of the image is a gray surface with a shadow beneath the book.
