Master of the Brussels Initials and Associates

The image shows an open book with yellowed pages. The left page has a decorative border around the text. The border has a tree-like design with a blue and gold trunk and branches that extend to the edges of the page. The branches are adorned with colorful leaves, flowers, and birds. There are two humanoid figures on either side of the border, one on the top left and one on the bottom right. The figure on the left is wearing a blue tunic and a red hat, and is riding a horse. The figure on the right is wearing a red tunic and a green hat. The text is written in black ink and appears to be in Latin. The right page has more text and a similar but less elaborate border. The book is open to a double-page spread, with the left page facing the viewer. The pages have rough edges and appear to be old and worn.
