The coin of Chandragupta II depicts two distinct scenes on its obverse and reverse sides. The obverse side shows a male figure standing with his right arm raised and a long staff or spear in his left hand; he wears a dhoti and a decorative belt around his waist; his facial features are detailed, with discernible eyes, nose, and mouth; behind him are detailed designs, possibly of foliage or ornaments, on the top right and a standing figure on the far left. The reverse side depicts a goddess seated cross-legged on a throne; she holds a lotus in her right hand and appears to have her left hand open in a gesture; she wears a crown and multiple necklaces; there are detailed ornamental patterns around her, including a beaded border at the bottom; and behind her are detailed designs, possibly of foliage or ornaments. Both sides of the coin are gold in color with a textured finish.
