Foot of a Red-Figure Oinochoe (Wine Jug)
The base of a wine jug, likely from ancient Greece. The object has a circular base with a slightly raised edge. The base and middle section are glazed black with a thin line of terracotta-colored clay at the top and bottom edges. The base appears to have a few chips and scuffs. The middle section narrows to a short cylindrical neck. The top of the neck has a circular depression. The top and bottom of the neck are terracotta-colored. The background is a solid dark gray color. The object casts a subtle shadow on the background to the right.
