Box decorated with Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, and Ganesha

Cleveland Museum of Art

Gold-colored metal box with a domed lid, sitting on four small feet. The box is decorated with intricate designs and images. The main body of the box features a repeating pattern of red flowers and green leaves, with two white birds on either side. A blue and gold border runs along the top and bottom edges of the box. The lid is adorned with a small finial at the top, which consists of a red and green stone. On the lid, there are four figures: a white figure with four arms, possibly Shiva, to the left; a blue figure, possibly Krishna, to the right; a dark-haired figure with a blue garment, possibly Vishnu; and a figure with an elephant head, possibly Ganesha. The background of the image is a gradient of dark gray to light gray.
