Oculate Being Mask

The Oculate Being Mask by Northwest Coast artist is a circular wooden mask. The mask has a large face with two holes for eyes, a long nose and protruding teeth. The face is painted with a design in shades of brown, red and black. There are eight protrusions coming out of the mask, four on top and four on the bottom. Each protrusion is carved into the shape of a creature head with two or three circles for the eyes. A smaller face is carved on top of the mask. The background is gray.
