The image shows an open book with a large, ornate initial "L". The initial "L" is blue, brown, gold and red; it is historiated and located in the center of the right page, extending from top to bottom. The bottom of the "L" ends in a decorative flourish. The top of the "L" is adorned with gold filigree and blue and red designs. Inside the "L" are seven small, irregularly-shaped compartments with people in them; the people are arranged vertically. The bottom compartment contains a man sleeping on a brown ground. The man wears a yellow and red garment; he is surrounded by a gold halo. The other compartments contain people standing; they wear varied colored robes and halos; from bottom to top: the fifth and sixth people wear blue and red; the second and fifth people wear red; the fourth person wears blue; the third and seventh person wears yellow and blue; the people in the top and bottom compartments face right; the people in the middle compartments face left. The left page contains a smaller blue initial; it is decorated with gold filigree and surrounded by a gold border. The pages contain black text. The right page's text wraps around the initial "L". The pages are off-white.
