The Side Chair by artist/creator unknown features a brown wooden frame. The chair has four straight legs connected by two horizontal bars, one near the floor and one higher up. The seat is woven with thin, brown and tan fibers or threads arranged in a crisscross pattern. Two vertical posts on either side of the chair's back rise and connect to a horizontal bar with four spindles. At the top of each vertical post is a small, round knob. The background is white with a slight shadow under the chair.
