Coffee Urn

Roswell Gleason

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The object is a metal urn with a wide base that narrows as it rises then flares out slightly below the middle. The urn tapers in again above the middle before flaring out at the top where a lid is attached. A short spout with a faucet handle is on the front and there are two handles on either side. The object appears to be made of silver or another shiny metal and sits on a short pedestal base. The lid has a short knob on top.
