Sugar pot

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Sugar pot by Boris Kniekamp is a ceramic vessel with a bulbous body and a conical lid. The vessel has two small handles on either side. The body and lid are decorated with horizontal stripes in various shades of orange, green, yellow, and black. The stripes are uneven and vary in width. The lid has a small knob on top. The background of the image is a gradient that transitions from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
