Girandole

William F. Shaw

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Girandole by William F. Shaw: The image shows four identical objects placed on white square bases. The objects are made of metal with an ornate design on the top and bottom. They have a cylindrical shape with a wide top that tapers down to a narrower base. Multiple long, thin, tapered crystals hang down from the top of each object. The crystals are clear and have pointed ends. The background of the image is a plain light gray color. The objects are arranged in a row, with the middle two objects mirrored and slightly asymmetrical.
