The Plate by William Morris. A round, flat ceramic plate with a wide lip. The plate is predominantly reddish-brown with a yellow design on the inside. The design features a central motif of four curved lines with dots, resembling a flower or plant. The interior rim has a yellow band with black text that appears to be a quote or phrase written in a decorative font. The text on the rim reads: "For the Lord is nigh, to hear the prayer, and to do righteousness. A.D. 1892". The background of the image is a gradient from dark grey at the top to light grey at the bottom. The plate casts a shadow on the surface below it.
