Black and white photograph of two trophies. The trophies are both made from dark metal with a round plate on the base and a pillar on top. The trophy on the left has a square base with a round plate on the front featuring a gear-like design. The pillar on top is fluted with a round sphere on top. The trophy on the right is similar but features two flags on top of the pillar; one with stripes and one with stars. The base of each trophy has a plaque; the left reads "ATLANTIC TELEGRAPH CABLE. IRELAND & NEWFOUNDLAND. 1865." The right plaque reads "ATLANTIC TELEGRAPH CABLE. IRELAND & NEWFOUNDLAND. AUGUST 5th 1858." The background is light grey with a darker border at the top and bottom.
