The Broncho Buster

Frederic Remington

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Broncho Buster by Frederic Remington: A sculpture of a cowboy on a horse. The cowboy is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a long-sleeved shirt and pants tucked into boots. He holds a lasso in his right hand, and his left arm is extended out to the side. The horse is rearing up on its hind legs, with its front legs raised off the ground. The sculpture is made of dark metal, possibly bronze, and has a rough texture. The base of the sculpture is oval-shaped and appears to be made of the same material as the sculpture. The background is a gradient from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
