The text on the right side reads: "A MIGHTY WARRIOR FRIEND TO THE WHITES GENERous FEELING WOUNDED FOR THEM CANT HOSTILE YAKIMA & BANNOCK WARS OF 1863 1877-8 POOR CRANE." The background of the medallion has some texture. The background behind the medallion is solid blue-gray color.
