General Stark and the Battle of Bennington

A bronze-colored medal features a relief portrait of a man wearing a military uniform and hat. The man has long hair. The words "Major Genl. John Stark, U.S.A." are written above the man's head. Two star shapes are on either side of the man's neck. The text surrounding the medal's edge reads: "Born Aug. 28, 1728. Died Aug. 28, 1812. Aged 83 Years, 8 Mos." The medal is on a white background.
