A box filled with eight stacks of lacquer samples. The box is rectangular and gray. The eight stacks are arranged side-by-side in the box. From left to right, the stacks are: - A solid gray cylinder - A black cylinder with a thin, etched white vine pattern - A dark gray cylinder with the same etched white vine pattern - A gray cylinder with etched flowers - A stack of thin, corrugated metal sheets - A stack of thin, smooth metal sheets with wavy lines - A gray cylinder with etched abstract plant-like silhouettes - A stack of irregularly shaped, textured gray squares and circles. The box sits on a plain background on top of a small stand with a ruler along the bottom. A small piece of paper with handwritten numbers is taped to the front of the stand.
