Dagger (Kard) with Sheath

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The dagger has a white handle made from what appears to be animal ivory. The handle is cylindrical with a slight tapering. A decorative gold-colored metal band encircles the handle near the blade. The blade is long and narrow, with a pointed tip. The blade features intricate black and silver designs. The sheath is long and narrow and appears to be made from black leather or a similar material. It has a cylindrical shape and tapers towards the tip which appears to be made of metal. There are three raised sections encircling the sheath. A small metal clasp or strap is visible on the left side near the top. The sheath and dagger are placed on a plain light gray background. The dagger's title is "Dagger (Kard) with Sheath".
