Boar Spear

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Boar Spear by unknown artist depicts a long, pointed metal spearhead with a weathered appearance. The spearhead is silver-gray in color and has a long, narrow, triangular shape, tapering to a sharp point at the tip. A short, ridged section is visible at the base of the spearhead. Below this section, a short, conical metal piece extends, featuring a decorative ring near the top. Two short, triangular metal protrusions extend on either side. The bottom portion of the spear is wrapped in a brown material, possibly leather or wood, with a frayed edge. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
