Halberd

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Halberd by an unknown artist shows a large medieval weapon mounted on a wall. The weapon has a long, thin, pointed metal shaft. Attached to the bottom of the shaft is a wide triangular blade with a flat base on the left side. On the right side of the shaft is a curved hook-like protrusion. The metal used to make the weapon appears worn and has a grey color with visible specks and spots. The background behind the weapon is a flat, solid light grey color. The weapon extends from the bottom center of the image towards the top center.
