Halberd

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The halberd by master silversmith is a long-handled weapon with a pointed metal spearhead at the top. The spearhead is long and narrow, tapering to a point. Below the spearhead, a decorative metal piece resembling a crossguard has two curved extensions on either side. A small, ornate piece connects the crossguard to the handle. The handle is partially visible at the bottom. The background of the image is a plain gray color.
