Partisan

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The sword, titled "Partisan", by an unknown artist, has a long, narrow, pointed silver blade with a slight tapering towards the tip. The blade's surface shows small spots and marks. A gold-colored metal guard is at the base of the blade, featuring a central ridge and two curved sections on either side that flare outwards. The guard has an etched design with visible patterns. A short, gold-colored metal section connects the guard to the handle, which is mostly not visible but appears to have a dark-colored material, possibly wood or leather. The background is a plain light gray color.
