The Resurrection
The Resurrection by Master of the Virgin. A rectangular, carved, wooden relief sculpture with a gray-brown patina. A figure of Jesus Christ stands in the center, wearing a long robe and a halo. His right arm is extended outward, and his left arm holds a staff with a cross on top. He stands on a stepped platform. Two men are at the bottom, one lying on the ground with his head toward the left and the other kneeling to the right. The standing figure's right foot touches the chest of the prone figure. The standing figure wears a helmet and armor. Above the figures are gothic arches with ornate carvings.
