Helmet

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The helmet has a silver-colored metal dome. The top of the helmet features a small, decorative finial. A gold-colored rim surrounds the base of the dome. Red fabric panels with gold embroidery and black trim are attached to the front and right side of the helmet. The panels have a scalloped edge and are shaped like a flower or a leaf.
