

Jousting Sallet (<i>Rennhut</i>) Made for Louis II (1506–1526), King of Hungary and Bohemia
Silver-colored metal helmet with a rounded top and long pointed beak-like protrusion at the front. The helmet has a series of vertical lines on the top half and a band around the lower half with arched panels featuring etched designs. A rope-like design runs along the top of the helmet. The helmet has a small lip around the edge and several small holes. The surface shows signs of wear and aging, with areas of gold visible. The background is gray.
