The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Rowel Spur by Gene Fowler, a silver-colored metal spur with a rowel. The spur has a long, curved neck with an etched design; the neck bends at one end into a U-shaped bend. A rowel with short spikes comes off of the U-shaped bend. The band at the other end has a buckle and a decorative silver ball; the buckle has two prongs that go through holes in the band. The spur sits on a grey background.
