Pair of Stirrups
The Pair of Stirrups by The Metropolitan Museum of Art shows two old, silver-colored metal stirrups. The stirrup on the left is standing upright with its base flat on the surface. The stirrup on the right is leaning to one side with its base flat on the surface. Each stirrup has a wide, flat base with a rope-like design, and a wavy edge. The arch of each stirrup is decorated with small balls and has a handle at the top. The handle is a small metal bar with a triangular shape at the top. The background is a plain gray color that gets darker towards the top. The stirrups appear to be made of metal, possibly silver or another type of metal alloy. The stirrups show signs of wear and tear, with some discoloration and scratches visible on the surface.
