Knife (Bade-bade) with Sheath

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The image shows a knife and its sheath. The knife has a curved blade with a pointed tip, and the metal appears worn and slightly rusted. The handle is black and shaped like an animal's head, possibly a bird. A small gold rivet is on the side of the handle near the base of the blade. The sheath is made of metal and has a T-shaped opening; it is worn and has decorative metal bands around it. The bands are silver and copper-colored. The sheath and knife are on a plain white background. The sheath and knife are titled "Knife (Bade-bade) with Sheath".
