Helmet

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Helmet by Gabbitas. The helmet features a grey metallic dome-shaped top with a short protrusion at the top center. A thin metal ridge runs down the center of the dome from the protrusion to the edge. The edge of the dome has a wavy metal decoration. A yellow fabric chin guard is attached to the front with metal rivets arranged in three rows and a large circular rivet on the left. The fabric appears worn and yellowish-brown. The helmet's interior appears to have a green fabric lining. A yellow drawstring is visible at the bottom. The background is a plain grey color.
