Gold coin with a relief portrait of a man with long, curly hair and a beard, facing right. The man has a rounded collar and a coat with a shoulder piece. The words "CAROLVS D G M BR ET H REX & GLOR" are stamped around the top half of the coin. The coin is circular and made of gold-colored metal. It has a few dark spots on its surface. The background is off-white.
