Pair of Forsyth Patent Third Model Sliding Primer Pistols

Alexander John Forsyth

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Two dark-colored, old pistols side by side, pointing to the right. Both have curved grips with a ribbed texture on the lower part and smooth on the upper part. The bottom of each grip is rounded and capped with a small metal piece. The metal parts are dark with some lighter areas. Each pistol has a hammer and a trigger. The top pistol's hammer is raised; the bottom pistol's hammer is lowered. The background fades from dark gray at the top to light gray at the bottom.
