

Sword Guard (Tsuba)
The sword guard, or tsuba, is a circular metal piece. The guard is dark brown with visible signs of wear and aging. It features two oval-shaped holes on either side and a long, narrow oval hole in the center. The top edge has two curved indentations. A figure resembling a bird or animal with a long tail is engraved on the lower right. A horizontal line and indistinct markings are on the lower left. The background is plain and light-colored. The artist of the tsuba is unknown.
