The Sword Guard (Tsuba) is black with a wavy edge. Two oval-shaped holes are in the center. A brown piece of metal separates the holes. The guard has gold inlays featuring floral motifs, a star, and a landscape scene with gold clouds. Other gold inlays include three sticks on the lower left and a flower on a stem near the center. A silver star is on the upper left. A silver floral design with four prongs is on the lower right. The background of the image is light gray.
